The property had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with charming furnishings that made us feel right at home. It was well-maintained and clean throughout, and we appreciated the clear instructions for using the facilities. the location was perfect, with easy access to both local amenities and the beautiful Lake Windermere. the outside space was a lovely touch, allowing us to enjoy some quiet time outdoors with the provided garden furniture.
this did not significantly detract from our overall experience. the water temperature in the showers was a bit lower than we preferred, resulting in less warm showers.

It was clean, well-furnished, and had all the necessary amenities. The outside space was beautifully maintained, allowing us to enjoy some peaceful moments outdoors. The proximity to local amenities and Lake Windermere was ideal. Parking was convenient for our three cars. A Warm and Cozy Stay: Even with the heating on full blast and a roaring fire, the cottage can get a little chilly. But hey, it adds to the rustic charm, and you can always snuggle up in the shared lounge with a hot cuppa and get that extra dose of warmth from the friendly vibes of your fellow guests.
Maintenance Needed: Some minor issues were encountered during our stay.

Treacle Cottage was excellent value for money with big bedrooms, spacious lounges, and a reasonable price. The location was ideal, nestled between the town and the lake, making it convenient to explore. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the cottage had a cozy log fire and a large selection of board games and DVDs for entertainment.
Food for breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of options.
